Whyworry - A story of fine wine & Superfine wool
Established just after the Second World War in the heart of the picturesque New England region, 'Whyworry' has a proud history of producing Superfine Merino wool with a solid reputation on the prestigious Italian market.
Inspired by early experiments with Pinot varieties, Whyworry ventured into viticulture to harness the unique attributes of an emerging cool climate region. Visitors often drop in during a sightseeing tour of this pretty, heritage-rich area, with the cellar door and adjoining vineyards just a few kilometres from the grave of the infamous 'gentleman bushranger' Fred Ward, better known as Captain Thunderbolt.
